Tommy Greer

Tommy Greer was born April 2, 1959 in Corinth, MS the son of the late Q T Greer and Clara Ruth Gurley Greer. He departed this life on January 23, 2024 in Michie, Tennessee at the age of 64 Years, 9 Months, 21 Days.

Tommy was united in marriage to Marla Surratt on October 10, 2008. 

Throughout his life, Tommy dedicated himself to the trucking and mechanic professions, known by his trucking handle "Farmer". With his exceptional skills and unwavering work ethic, he became a proud owner of a successful trucking company. 

But beyond his professional accomplishments, Tommy's true joy resided in his role as a grandfather. The presence of his beloved grandkids would light up his face. He cherished every moment spent with them and took great delight in teasing and playing with them; their laughter filled his heart with immeasurable joy.

He is survived by his wife, Marla Greer of Michie, TN; children, Cheryl Lynn Greer, Jeremy Wayne Moore and wife Chasity, Tonya Lubben, Michael David Greer and bonus son, JJ Dennis; sister, Rita Strawn and husband Dickey; 9 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren with one more on the way; and other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Greer was preceded in death by a sister, Teresa Davis.
