Tommy Jack Jerrolds departed this life on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at the age of 78 years, 4 months, 19 days. He was born in Savannah, Tennessee on November 25, 1937 the son of the late Thomas U. and Bessie S. Neill Jerrolds. On May 30, 1959 he was united in marriage to Margaret Gattis, who survives.
Tommy Jack lived in the Burnt Church Community all of his life. Throughout his life he worked for Davis Brothers Construction, Robinson's Grainery, Kendall Oil of Memphis, and LTV Steel for 32 years as a pipe tester. He was a member of Turkey Creek Baptist Church, United Steel Workers of America, and the Tennessee Cattleman Association. Mr. Jerrolds was also a Director with Farm Bureau and served on the Hardin County Fair Board. He loved farming and his cattle.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Margaret Jerrolds, of Savannah, Tennessee; 3 children, Darrell Jerrolds and his wife Regina of Savannah, Tennessee, Dale Jerrolds and his wife Lisa of Savannah, Tennesseee, and Jackie Agnew and her husband Charlie of Cochran, Georgia; 1 sister, Amelia Russell, of Savannah, Tennessee; 13 grandchildren, Lauren Morgan, Paden Jerrolds, Westin Jerrolds, Patience Jerrolds, Leah Jennings, TJ Agnew, Jessica Jerrolds, Ben Agnew, Janlyn Agnew, Kara Jerrolds, Eliana Agnew, Will Rogers, and Eric Rogers; and 5 great-grandchildren, Caden Jerrolds, Ivy Jerrolds, Dawson Durham, Ella Rogers, and Evee Rogers.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ted Jerrolds.
