He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Tina Plunkett; his parents; and four of his brothers: Jerry Daniel Plunkett, William Wayne Plunkett, Ronnie Plunkett, and Tony Lee Plunkett.
Tommy is survived by his two sons, Scotty Plunkett and Phillip Plunkett, with whom he shared a strong and loving bond alongside their mother and his lifelong friend, Virginia Plunkett. Though no longer married, Tommy and Virginia remained closely connected throughout their lives, united by love and mutual respect for their family.
He was a proud grandfather to seven grandchildren—Brooks Pinkstaff, Cassidy Mathis, Brittany Plunkett, McKenzie Francis, Ginny Smith, Miranda Cheatham, and Lake Plunkett—and a cherished great-grandfather to seven great-grandchildren.
