Tommy E. Smith

Henderson, TN: Thomas Everett Smith, age 71 passed away August 12, 2012 at Maplewood Nursing Home in Jackson.
He was born and reared in Henderson the son of the late Cube Glenn and Jennie Roark Smith. He was educated in Henderson and graduated Chester County High School in 1959. He attended Freed Hardeman for one and half years and joined his family in the Peoples Cleaners which he took over at the death of his father. He was married to Norma Smith of Finger in 1962. She preceded in death in 1990. Tommy closed the business in 2000. He later was employed in the Real Estate Business and later returned to the dry cleaners business working with the West Side Cleaners. He was a member of the Medina First Methodist Church.
He is survived by a daughter, Tonya Burks and husband John of Jackson; two grandchildren, Hunter Burks and Rachel Burks both of Jackson and a sister, Glenda Kimball and husband Howard, MD of Collierville.
