Tressie Young Gibson

Tressie Young Gibson, 85, of Toone, died Saturday, January 8,

2005 at her home.



The wife of James Marvin Gibson, who survives, she was a homemaker. Mrs. Gibson was born April 2, 1919 in Medon,

daughter of the late Joe John Young and Fannie Baxter Young and

lived here all of her life. She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist

Church.



Services were 11 am Monday, January 10 at Ebenezer Baptist

Church with Robert Louie Gibson, James E. Gibson and Lynn

Gibson officiating. Burial was in Ebenezer Cemetery near Toone.

Shackelford Funeral Directors of Bolivar were in charge of

arrangements.



In addition to her husband, whom she married December 24, 1935,

survivors include one daughter, Juanita Grantham of Toone; two

sons, James Edward Gibson of Germantown and Robert Louie

Gibson of Toone; eight grandchildren; one step-grandchild;

fourteen great grandchildren and one step-great grandchild. She

was preceded in death by four brothers, two sisters and one

granddaughter.
