James Troy Shelton was born November 10, 1928 in Stantonville, TN, the son of the late Clyde and Alma Case Shelton. He departed this life on November 3, 2019 in Adamsville, Tennessee at the age of 90 Years, 11 Months, 24 Days.
Mr. Shelton was united in marriage to Georgia Fay Waller on July 21, 1951 and they were blessed to have their 68th wedding anniversary this year. He became a member of the West Shiloh Baptist Church in Stantonville, Tennessee in 1948. He served our country in the U. S. Army in Korea from 1951 until 1953. Troy enjoyed trading anything he could find to trade, from vehicles to farm animals. He also enjoyed raising and tending to farm animals and working on lawn mowers. Most of all he loved his children and grandchildren.
Mr. Shelton is survived by his wife, Georgia Shelton of Adamsville, TN; children, Randy J. Shelton and wife Cheryl of Adamsville, TN and Regina K. Delozier and late husband Terry of Spearman, TX; five grandchildren: Tony M. Smith, Brandy Luther, Amber Luther, Sara Shelton, Anna Shelton; five great grandchildren: Marlee Smith, Kinlee Smith, Avren Delozier, Damian Salazar, Dominic Salazar; and brother-in-law, Loyce Inman of Selmer, TN; and a host of other family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Shelton was preceded in death by two sisters, Burlene Inman and Luedeen Moffett and husband Earl D.; a brother, G. C. Shelton and wife Marie.
