Mrs. Valeria M. Sasser, age 85 of Middleton, departed this life Tuesday afternoon, August 21, 2012 at her home.
Mrs. Sasser was born at home in a log house in Middleton January 30, 1927 to the late Johnny and Nettie Stewart McBride. She was united in marriage to Stephen Sasser, who survives, April 29, 1950. She worked as a homemaker and was very creative, sewing doll clothes and making arts and crafts. Among her hobbies, she also enjoyed traveling all over the country, especially Branson, Missouri, camping and spending time with her family. She lived most of her life in Middleton, where she was a member of the Church of Christ, but also lived three years in St. Louis, Missouri.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by his son, Keith Sasser and his wife Wanda; grandson, Kevin Sasser; granddaughter, Kim Tigner and her husband Brian; great-granddaughter Tayler Tigner, all of Middleton; and a sister, Beatrice Teague of Memphis.
She is preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Vernell Powers and a brother, Vernon McBride.
