Velma Lee Christianson

August 16, 1913 — February 26, 2009

Velma Lee Christianson was born August 16, 1913 in Campbellsville, Kentucky the daughter of the late William Blain and Mary Liza Johnson Barnett.



Mrs. Christianson was born and raised in Campbellsville, Kentucky. After being married to Walter Lee on December 30, 1931 they moved to Chenoa, Illinois in 1934, Mr. Lee preceded her death on August 19, 1955. Mrs. Christianson was a member of First Baptist church in Chenoa, Illinois. She made her home in the Chenoa area until 1974, when she married Richard Christianson on April 6, 1974, they moved to Lexington, Illinois. After his death on March 14, 1996 she then made her home in Selmer, Tennessee.



Mrs. Christianson departed this life on February 26, 2009 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 95 Years, 6 Months, 10 Days. She is survived by two daughters, Ruth Rosenberger and husband Bruce of Selmer, TN, Ina Cope and husband Dale of Vincennes, IN; two step-daughters, Karen Christianson, Nina Christianson; a step-son, Rick Christianson; two sisters, Esther Roberts of Clinton, IL, Mary Kathryn Lawson of Campbellsville, KY; three brothers, Leonard Barnett of Campbellsville, KY, Richard Barnett of Campbellsville, KY, Willard Ralph Barnett of Mt. Washington, KY;seven grandchildren, Bonnie (Cope) Fowler, Georgia (Rosenberger) Jones, Teresa (Cope) Hoover, Anita (Rosenberger) Locke, Brenda (Rosenberger) Fugera, David Cope, Brian Rosenberger; nine great grandchildren, Michael Hurt, Laura Grace Horner, Tyler Jones, Justin Locke, Sarah Jo Locke, Daniel Anthony, Brendan Fugera, Matthew Fugera, Greg Parrish; two great great grandchildren, Crue Hurt, Hannah Grace Horner.



In addition to her husbands and parents, Mrs. Christianson was preceded in death by a grandson, Daniel Bruce Rosenberger; two sisters, Clara Brown, Mattie Lou Price; three brothers, James Barnett, Huley Barnett, Everett (Dude) Barnett.
