Vera Ellar Evans was born February 14, 1921 in Shiloh, TN the daughter of the late James Henry and Ethel Lee Durbin Evans. Miss.Evans departed this life on June 16, 2017 in Parsons, Tennessee at the age of 96 Years, 4 Months, 2 Days.
She was employed by Jackson Poultry Company until her retirement in 1975. She was a member of the Lester Chapel Methodist Church.
She is survived by a nephew James Cleo Sanders and wife Betty of Clarksville, TN; great nieces Annette Sanders, Melissa Solt; great nephew Stephen Sanders, his wife Christina and their children.
In addition to her parents, Miss.Evans was preceded in death by two sisters, her twin sister Vira Dellar Evans and Ruth Sanders.
Graveside Services will be 3:00 P.M., Monday, June 19 at the Henderson City Cemetery with Rev. James Sanders officiating.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 P.M. until 2:45 P.M., Monday, June 19 at Shackelford Funeral Directors - Johnson Chapel
