Verdie Faye Spears

VERDIE FAYE SPEARSwas born on June 23, 1927, in Hardin County Tennessee, to Asberry and Mason Lindsey Hutchens, who preceded her in death. On December 6, 1941, she married John Spears, who preceded her in death on October 27, 1989.At one time, she worked for the Dillon Manufacturing Company as an inspector. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Crump, Tennessee. She loved to quilt, embroidery, cook, and to feed wild animals.Mrs. Verdie departed this life on February 5, 2013, at the age of 85 years, 7 months and 13 days.She is survived by a daughter, Wanda Kimberland of Savannah, Tennessee, two sons, Larry Spears and his wife Brenda of Savannah, Tennessee, and Eddie Spears of Crump, Tennessee and one, daughter-in-law, Nancy Spears of Savannah, Tennessee;Two sisters, Dorothy (Dot) Green and Buleah Frances Bashier both of Crump, Tennessee;Five grandchildren, Dianne Prince, Jeff Spears, Tommy Spears, Jason Kimberland and Rance Spears;Four great-grandchildren, Taylor Prince, Jessie Spears, Matthew Spears and Michael Spears.In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by one son, James C. Spears and one sister, Audrey Templeton Robbins.
