Mr. Taylor passed away Tuesday night, July 20, 2010 at Bolivar General Hospital.
The widower of Betty Lou Taylor, who died November 5, 1993 after 38 years of marriage, he was the owner of Taylor Stream Window and Door and also was a painting contractor. Mr. Taylor was born September 11, 1930 in Hardeman County to the late Alfred and Mamie Glidewell Taylor and lived all of his life here. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in the Korean Conflict.
Survivors include two daughters and their husbands, Teresa Hannis and Greg, Rita Bryant and Mike "Cotton", all of Bolivar; two sons, Steve Taylor and his wife, Kathy, Jeff Taylor, all of Bolivar; two sisters, Jean Sykes of Bolivar, Alice Jones of Lawrenceburg; two brothers, David Taylor and Laverne Taylor, both of Bolivar; seven grandchildren, Zach Hannis of Henderson, Logan, Spencer and Dillon Bryant, all of Jackson, Aaron and Sean Taylor, Jason Reid, all of Bolivar; and five great grandchildren, Samuel and Anna Hannis, Caitlyn Bryant, Lily and Isabella Reid.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Taylor; and a sister, Vernice Ferguson.
