Villar Rhoades departed this life Sunday, July 1, 2012, at the age of 97 years and 18 days.She was born to the late William Alpine and Tennie Eliza Jerrolds Godwin, June 13, 1915, in Hardin County, Tennessee. She married Robert Bailey Rhoades, Sr. in 1946. He preceded her in death November 24, 1987. Mrs. Rhoades was a member of the Campground United Methodist Church. She had owned and operated Rhoades Grocery and Rhoades Candy Factory before she retired. Her hobbies included gardening and the outdoors.She is survived by her brother, William Duel Godwin of Adamsville, Tennessee, and a host of nieces and nephews.In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by he son, Robert Bailey (Bones) Rhoades, Jr.; sisters, Ivy Moffet and Fleece Hulen; Hershel Godwin, Grady Godwin, Bill Godwin and Curtis Godwin.
