Violet Burke, age 90 of Saulsbury, passed away on October 23, 2016, at her son's home at Grand Valley Lakes near Saulsbury, TN.
Violet Rose Burke was born on October 11, 1926 to the late Robert and Katherine Vickovic Karich in Gary, Indiana. On February 26, 1949, she married Donald Burke, who passed away in March of 2004. She worked as a housewife and was a Catholic in faith. Violet attended Lew Wallace High School in Gary, IN. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, watching game shows, and rooting for her favorite NASCAR driver, Dale Earnhardt, Jr. She lived most of her life in Gary, IN before moving here for about a year.
She is survived by her three children, Donald Burke (Nancy) of Saulsbury, TN, David Burke (Kathy) of Jacksonville, FL, and Patricia Kincaid of Portage, IN; four grandchildren, Brad Burke of Huntsville, AL, David Burke Kincaid of Houston, TX, Allison Kincaid of Portage, IN, and Danny Kincaid of Hobart, IN; a brother, Mike Karich of Sterling, VA; and a great-grandchild, Isabella. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Uremovich.
