VIOLET C. DUNCAN



was born in Calloway County, Kentucky on May 13, 1909 the daughter of the late Eucelous Carr and Georgia Yates Carr Wright.



Mrs. Duncan was united in marriage to Martin Duncan, who preceded his wife in death.



Mrs. Duncan was a homemaker. She was a former resident of Union City, Tennessee. Mrs. Duncan was a member of First Baptist Church in Savannah, Tennessee. She loved quilting and doing volunteer work at Hardin County General Hospital.



Mrs. Duncan departed this life on May 22, 2011 at the Hardin Medical Center Health and Rehabilitation Center in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 102 years and 9 days.



Mrs. Duncan is survived by 2 daughters, Christine Barnes of Savannah, Tennessee and Marcia House of Memphis, Tennessee



2 sons, H. Dale Duncan of New Caney, Texas and Van T. Duncan of Kell, Illinois.



16 grandchildren and several great grandchildren



one sister, Geneva Wright Jones of Hopkinsville, Kentucky



In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by one son, Frank Duncan, 2 grandsons and 3 brothers, Vernon Carr, Mitchell Wright and James H. Wright.
