Violet Summers Hill

Violet Summers Hill was born on October 23, 1939 in Ramer, TN the daughter of the late Orlean and Virginia Hamm Summers. Mrs. Hill departed this life on February 6, 2014 in Corinth, Mississippi at the age of 74 Years, 3 Months, 14 Days.

She was united in marriage to Charles (Buddy) Hill on December 26, 1957.

Mrs. Hill was a member of Mt. Vernon Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She had worked as a Cashier at Big Star Grocery Stores both in Selmer, TN and Corinth, MS. She had also worked as a Waitress at Risner's Steakhouse in Eastview, TN and Russell's Steakhouse in Corinth.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Charles "Buddy" Hill of Ramer; a daughter, Tena Coln and husband Jeff of Selmer, TN; four grandchildren, Will Coln and wife Jill of Adamsville, TN, Andy Coln and wife Shelby of Memphis, TN, Anna Coln of Selmer, Keri Hale of Ramer, three great grandchildren, Ryder Coln, Sophie Coln, Layla Hale; her best friend and sister-in-law, Betty Straign of Ramer, a nephew, Sam Summers and a host of extended family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hill was preceded in death by a daughter, Elizabeth Renea Hill and a brother, Willard Summers.
