Virgia Kathy English

September 15, 1937 — February 7, 2010

Mrs. English died early Sunday morning at Baptist Hospital in Memphis.



Born in Walnut, MS, she was the daughter of the late Hughey and Ruthie Mae Hollis Wilbanks. She married James P. English on February 10, 1962. She and her husband were owners of English's Market in Bolivar where she resided most of her life before moving to Shelby county. She had been a member of Parran's Chapel Baptist Church for many years.



She leaves her husband, James P. English; a daughter, Jeanne Bowers of Myerstown, PA; a son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Patricia English of Cordova; three sisters, Kay Belk of Hernando, MS, Carolyn Cutberth of Corinth, MS and Mattie Baker of Walnut, MS; three grandchildren, Norman Russell, Nicholas and Lauren English; and four great-grandchildren.
