Virginia Benson

Henderson, TN: Virginia Cornelia Benson age 81 passed away May 16, 2012 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
She was born in Luray, TN the daughter of the late Robert Wylie and Annie Mae Phillips Benson. She went to elementary school at Middlefork in Henderson County, and graduated from Chester County High School in 1949 before attending Freed Hardeman College and Memphis State. She worked a number of years in Memphis before returning to Henderson. She had worked as a secretary for the ASCS office and in her latter years worked some in the Nursery at the First Baptist Church in Henderson. She was notably instrumental in initiating and organizing her high school class reunions.
She is survived by a brother, Billy Benson and his wife Juanita of Henderson and friends, J. W. and Tommie Jean Patterson of Henderson.
