Virginia Frances Daniel

Virginia Frances Austin Daniel of Iron City, TN was born May 17, 1935 in Lauderdale Co., AL, the daughter of the late Marion Dupree and Toy Bernice Moore Austin. She was united in marriage to J. R. Daniel on July 12, 1975. and he preceded her in death on January 8, 1993.

Mrs. Daniel was a factory worker for 27 years at H. D. Lee in Florence, AL and was a member of the Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, Iron City, Tennessee.

Mrs. Daniel departed this life on Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at Shoals Hospital in Muscle Shoals, Alabama at the age of 78 Years, 8 Months, 18 Days.

She is survived by a son, Jerry Lowe and wife, Teresa of Waterloo, AL; grandchildren, Jaydee Lowe, Dusty Lowe, Melissa Lowe, Chris Lowe, Danny Stephenson; a brother, Charles Austin of Threets Crossroads, AL; a sister-in-law, Carolyn Austin of Florence, AL; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Daniel was preceded in death by a son, James Danny Lowe; an infant daughter; and a brother, Vernon Austin.

Services will be Saturday, February 8, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel, Collinwood, Tennessee with Kaleb Cosart and David Rushlow officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens, Collinwood, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing. Pallbearers will be Tony Orrick, Stevie Orrick, Josh (Chubby) Kelly, Ronald White, Rodney Ezekiel, Ryan Orrick, and John Brightwell.

Visitation will be Friday, February 7, 2014 from 5:30 pm to 9 pm and Saturday, February 8, 2014 from 10 am until service time at the funeral home.
