LOUISE SWOPE FOUST

Pinson, TN: Virginia Louise Swope Foust, age 72 passed away December 4, 2014 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

She was born December 20, 1941 in Pinson, the daughter of the late John Fowler Swope and Lillie Macline Swope. She went to school at Pinson. She married Winfred Bromley. They made their home at Rutherford and Trenton. Mr. Bromley died in 1973. She later married William Chester Foust. They made their home at Beech Bluff. Mrs. Foust worked for the Tennessee Division of Forestry as a fire spotter and worked at the Beech Bluff Fire Tower.

Mrs. Foust is survived by two sons; Robert Bromley and wife Penny of Pinson and Bill Foust and wife Susan of Pinson; two daughters, Gail Bromley Thomas and husband Will of Pinson and Pam Foust Hughes and husband Bobby of Pinson; eleven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; three brothers, Frank Swoape of Pinson, Thomas Swope of Springfield, MO and Roger Mac Swope of Pinson and five sisters, Thelma Rose Stancill of Humboldt, Faye Robinson of Cheno Valley, AZ, Loyce Smith of Henderson, Judy Ramsey of Versailles, IN and Betty Taylor of Bemis.

She was preceded in death by a son, Glynn Bromley (infant), three brothers, Ross Swope, Glenn Swope and Charlie Swope and three sisters, Dorothy Brown, Mazel Byrum and Nancy Lott.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey Chapel with Gerald Smith officiating and burial will follow in Rogers Cemetery at Pinson, TN.

The family will receive friends at Casey Chapel beginning 10:00 AM Saturday until 2:00 PM Saturday service time.
