Virginia Kay Padgett

Virginia Kay Padgett departed this life on December 2, 2014 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee at the age of 68 Years, 5 Months, and 11 Days. She was born on June 21, 1946 in San Marcos, Texas, daughter to the late Curtis Sidney and Sibyl Florence Dobie Padgett.

Virginia was a homemaker with a Bachelor's Degree in Music. In addition to living in Hardin County, she also lived in Memphis for a while. She taught voice and piano in homes and loved singing and playing the piano. She loved to spend time with her common-law husband Arl, her daughter Bama, and her grandson Sidney. She was a devout Christian that loved the Lord. She always looked out for her family and put them first in everything.

She is survived by her companion Arl Montgomery of Savannah, Tennessee; her daughter Bama Birkhead of Savannah, Tennessee; her sister Sharon Leonardi of Germantown, Tennessee; and her grandchild Sidney Birkhead of Savannah, Tennessee.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother Shelton Edward Padgett.
