She was born and reared in Illinois, the daughter of the late Olen and Verna Franklin Wilson. She married William H. Phillips in 1947. They made their home in Memphis until 1979. They moved to Henderson in 1981 and retired. She was a member of the Pleasant Springs Methodist Church and the Deanburg Community Club. Mr. Phillips died in 1994.
She is survived by a daughter, Dixie Mays (Michael) of Henderson; two grandchildren and four great grandchildren; a sister Ruth Lamb of Memphis and two nieces and two nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, Michael Phillips in 1980 and a brother, Don Wilson in 2004.
