Virginia Caroline Plunkett

Virginia Caroline Plunkett was born on August 12, 1950 in Saltillo, Mississippi, the daughter of the late Billy Claborn and Lone Maude Floyd Mansell.

Virginia loved to babysit her grandchildren and great grandchildren and often took them on picnics. She also liked sitting on her porch enjoying nature, planting flowers, and working puzzles. Virginia was a member of Northside Baptist Church and attended Church on the Rock. She enjoyed attending church singings, going on womens trips with the church, and reading her Bible.

Virginia Caroline Plunkett departed this life on May 13, 2026 in Jackson, Tennessee, at the age of 75 years, 9 months, and 1 day.

She is survived by her sons, Scotty Plunkett of Columbia, Tennessee and Philip Plunkett (Lisa) of Savannah, Tennessee; grandchildren, Brooks Pinkstaff, Cassidy Mathis, McKenzie Francis, Britany Plunkett, Ginny Smith, Miranda Cheatham, and Lake Plunkett; and great grandchildren, Elijah Jones, Riley Jones, Harper Woerle, Hannah Woerle, Remington Garska, Nash Mathis, Maeve Mathis, Arlo Smith, and Ada Cheatham.

In addition to her parents, Virginia was preceded in death by her sister, Linda Sue Mansell.
