Finger, TN: Vonnie Mae Talbott Garner age 86, passed away February 15, 2011 at the Chester County Healthcare.
She was born and reared in Finger in McNairy County, the daughter of the late Newton Perry and Varham Matlock Talbott. She attended schools at Finger and married Jim Garner of Finger in 1946. They made their home in Finger all their married life. She worked for Brown Shoe Company for more than 37 years as a back shoe operator. She loved to read anything. She was a member of the Finger United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, William Branson “Jim†Garner of Finger; two sons, Larry Garner and wife Shannon of Finger and Gary Garner and wife Kay of Adamsville; 6 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Terry Garner in 2007 and a brother, L.E. Talbott.
