Vonnie Stanfill departed this life on Thursday, November 24, 2016 at the age of 90 years, 11 months, and 1 day.
She was born in Lutts, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Dempsey Dougal and Hattie Mae Franks White. On ma 22, 1948 she was united in marriage to Charles E. Stanfill who preceded her in death on August 13, 2013.
Vonnie was a member of First United Methodist Church in Adamsville. She retired from Brown Shoe Company in Savannah. Following her retirement she worked in banking and in retail at Dillards. Vonnie enjoyed gardening, cooking, and helping her husband with cattle farming.
She is survived by one son, Stephen C. Stanfill and his wife Pam of Adamsville, Tennessee; three sisters, Ruby Johnson and Lura Mae Ledbetter both of Florence, Alabama and Bonnie Rich of Adamsville, Tennessee; one granddaughter, Amy E. Burns and her husband Jonathan; and two great grandchildren, Ellis Burns and Mae Elizabeth Burns.
Other than her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Maudie Beckham.
The family has requested that memorial donations be made to the First United Methodist Church in Adamsville.
