Voyd C. Pugh Sr.
Milledgeville, TN: Voyd C. Pugh Sr., age 87 passed away, Monday, November 28, 2011 at the Westwood Healthcare in Decaturville, Tennessee.
He was born and reared in Milledgeville, Chester County, son of the late Dossie H. and Elsie Cagle Pugh. He attended schools at Tri-County in Milledgeville and in 1940 was married to Dorothy Perkins of Henderson County, Sardis and in February 1945 he entered the U.S. Army where is served until November 1945. He returned home and farmed for a short time and was later employed by Johnson Lumber Company and later Hearn Lumber Company in Henderson, where he worked until his retirement in 1989. Mrs. Pugh passed away in 2008. He was a member of the Center Point Holiness Church.
Mr. Pugh was survived by two sons Voyd C. Pugh Jr. and wife Paulette of Reagan, TN and Ward Pugh of Decaturville, TN.
He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Mae Perkins Pugh and a brother Howard Pugh.
