W.C. "Dub" HAMILTON
was born in Decatur County, Tennessee on September 14, 1928 the son of the late Nora Hamilton.
Mr. Hamilton was united in marriage to Peggy Jean Butler, who survives.
He was a retired towboat captain for Crounse Corporation in Paducah, Kentucky. Mr. Hamilton was member of Temple Baptist Church in Savannah, Tennessee.
He departed this life on Thursday, February 2, 2017 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 88 years, 4 months, and 19 days.
Mr. Hamilton is survived by his wife, Peggy of Savannah, Tennessee; daughter, Brenda Bain of Savannah, Tennessee; son, David Johnson of Decaturville, Tennessee; grandchildren, Greg Johnson and Sherry Baker; great-grandchildren, Amber Baker, Kaitlyn Baker, Megyn Baker, Will Baker, Logan Johnson, Evan Johnson, and Christopher Johnson; brothers, John D. Walker and his wife, Patricia and Robert Walker; and sisters, Judy Walker and her husband, Ed, Anna Frances, Ann Howell, Mary Ellen Adkins, Mary Etta Creasy, and Sue Evans.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Alice Hamilton and a grandchild, Christopher Johnson.
