W. F. Young

Mr. Young died Monday afternoon at Baptist Hospital in Memphis.



A native of Hardeman County, he was the son of the late Eddie Frank Young and Mattie Roberts Young. He married the former Ola Bea Manley on May 17, 1954. Mrs.Young died January 11, 2004. Mr. Young served his country in the Army, during the Korean War, stationed in Germany. He retired as Chief Maintenance Mechanic from Aqua Water Company of Illinois after 37 years. A member of the Ebenezer Baptist Church, he had lived in Troy, Tennesse, in Obion county, since 1991.



He leaves his daughter, Lorna Vinson of Kankakee, IL; three sons, Ralph Phillip Young, Nathan Frank Young and Matthew David Young, all of Kankakee; two sisters, Minnie Arnold of Demopolis, AL and Tennie Bearden of Dardanelle, AR; one brother, Billy Joe Young of Dardanelle; nine grandchildren, Joseph and James Vinson, Melissa Vargas, Nicholaus Katie, Jessica, Brianna, Chloe and Nichole Young; and seven great-grandchildren, Cameron, Conner and Jasmine Vinson, Zachary and Andrew Vargas, Payten and Maysen Young.



In addtion to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by six sisters, Lucille Young, Freddie Pierce, Estelle Avent, Joyce Stack, Frankie Sue Jones and Allie Lee Baker.
