Wade Nixon

On July 22, 2024, with heavy hearts we bid farewell to a beloved brother, uncle and friend, Wade Nixon. Born on June 11, 1963, in Brooklyn, NY, to the late Larry Wade and Linda Lou Terry Nixon, Wade's journey on this earth was one of family, strength, and compassion.

Wade dedicated himself to his work as a heavy equipment operator in bridge construction. Yet, his true joys were found in the great outdoors – hunting amidst nature's beauty, casting a line into the waters for a peaceful day of fishing, and feeling the freedom of horseback riding. Wade was a member of the Michie Church of God of Prophecy.

Those who knew Wade understood that beyond his tough exterior lay a heart overflowing with kindness and empathy. He was not just a guardian of his family but a pillar of unwavering support. His belief in aiding others extended even beyond his passing through the selfless act of organ and tissue donation – a final gift of LIFE to those in need.

At the age of 61 Years, 1 Month, 11 Days, Wade departed this life in Nashville, Tennessee. He is survived by his sister, Denise Nixon Bennett and her husband Greg of Michie, TN; his brother, Terry Nixon and wife Angie of Michie, TN; nieces and nephews: Madalynn Nixon, Ryan Nixon and wife Elizabeth, Abby Ingle and husband Logan, Bailey McCalvin and husband Blake, Brooke Bennett, Bethany Austin and husband Blakney, Brittney Scott and husband Zach, Andrew Gann; as well as great nieces and nephews: Ivy, Olivia, and Beau Bennett McCalvin, Cash Durbin. Wade also leaves behind a multitude of extended family members and friends.

In addition to his parents, Wade was preceded in death by a sister, Tina Elizabeth Nixon Gann.

As we mourn the loss of Wade let us hold dear to our hearts the legacy he leaves behind - one etched with compassion, selflessness, and unwavering devotion to those he held dear. May he rest in peace knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly through those who carry his memory forward.
