Services for Walsie Brison Holt Pulley of Waynesboro, TN formerly of Collinwood, TN will be held on Sunday, February 13, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Shackelford Funeral Home in Collinwood, Tennessee, with Stacey Holt and Tim Hanback officiating. Burial will follow in McGlamery Cemetery, Collinwood, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors directing. Pallbearers will be Reg Holt, Randall Holt, Andy Holt, Brent Dicus, Milford Howard, and Keith Hensley. Honorary pallbearers will be Dan Holt, Willie Holt, Jr., Pat Bryson, and Terry Swiney.
Visitation will be on Saturday, February 12, 2011 from 5 pm to 9 pm and Sunday, February 13, 2011 from 8:00 am until service time at the funeral home.
Mrs. Walsie departed this life on Friday, February 11, 2011 at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia, Tennessee at the age of 91 Years, 3 Months, 11 Days. She was born October 31, 1919 in Collinwood, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Noah Cecil and Waymon Elizabeth Creecy Brison. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Pulley was preceded in death by husbands, Aaron Holt and Albert Pulley; stepson, Larry Pulley; step-daughter, Louise Butler; brothers, James Walter Brison, and J.B. Bryson; sisters, Imogene Daniel and Robbie Daniel.
Mrs. Walsie was retired from Angelica as a garment presser . She was a member of Millrock Freewill Baptist Church in Collinwood, Tennessee.
She is survived by sons, Bobby C. Holt and wife, Ethel of Cypress Inn, TN, Billy Holt and wife, Dean of Cypress Inn, TN, Tom Holt and wife, Peggy of Florence, AL, daughter, Margaret Hammack and husband, Paul of Collinwood, TN; grandchildren, Reggie Holt, Randall Holt, Stacey Holt, Sheryl Luna, Melinda Dicus, Melissa Bedford, Sharlon Hensley, Andy Holt, and Jennifer Smith; 23 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; stepson, Ralph Pulley and wife, Jo of Wabash, IN; stepdaughter, Virginia Denham and husband, Clayton of Columbia, TN; sister; Roxie Moore of Iron City, TN; several nieces and nephews.
