Services will be held on Sunday, February 13, 2011 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Home in Collinwood, Tennessee, with Bobby Rich, and Emerald Bailey officiating. Burial will follow in Railroad Cemetery, Iron City, Tennessee
with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be on Saturday, February 12, 5:00-9:00 pm and on Sunday, February 13, 11:00 am until service time @ Shackelford Funeral Home, Collinwood.
Mr. Roberson departed this life on Thursday, February 10, 2011 at Wayne County Nursing Home in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 88 Years, 6 Months, 14 Days. He was born July 27, 1922 in Iron City, Tennessee the son of the late John Henry and Viola Linville Roberson. In addition to his parents, Mr. Roberson was preceded in death by wife; Iva Nell Kilburn Roberson; daughter; Kim Givens; brother; Bill Roberson and half sister; Lizzie Stults.
Mr. Roberson was retired from TVA . He was a member of the Fairview Freewill Baptist Church. Mr. Roberson served his country in the United States Army during World War II.
He is survived by ; son, Kevin Roberson of Iron City, TN, step sons; Dennis Riley of Iron City, TN, Dexter Riley of Florence, AL; step daughter, Pat Riley of Florence, AL; grandchildren; Kendra Givens; Cody Givens; Telina Miles; Courtney Riley and Dustin Riley; great grandchild; Shannon Dodd; brothers; Glen and Waylon Roberson; both of Iron City, TN
with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of the arrangements.
