Wanda Sue Cox

Mrs. Wanda Sue Ledford Cox, age 54 of Middleton, departed this life Tuesday afternoon, April 17, 2012 at her home.



Mrs. Cox was born in Middleton on June 8, 1957 to Syble Davis Ledford of Middleton, who survives, and the late Eutril Layton "Rusty" Ledford. She was united in marriage to Larry Wayne Cox, who survives, November 24, 1984. Having lived all her life in Middleton, she worked for 18 years as a teachers' aid and assistant librarian at Middleton Elementary School and was a member of the Pocahontas First Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir and was most recently active with the youth. She loved gardening and growing flowers.



In addition to her husband and mother, Mrs. Cox leaves as her survivors two daughters, Ashley Cox Dixon and husband Jason of Collierville and Faralee Cox Garland and husband John of Arlington; a brother, Dale Ledford of Brownsville; and two grandchildren, Olivia Garland of Arlington and Landry Garland of Arlington. Along with her father, she is preceded in death by a brother, Donald Ledford.
