Wanda June Hayes

Wanda June Bevis Hayes of Iron City, TN was born July 19, 1939 in Wayne Co., Tennessee, the daughter of the late Willie Robert and Artie Lea Erwin Bevis. She was united in marriage to Ottis Jude Hayes on August 3, 1962 and he preceded her in death on December 24, 2006. Mrs. Hayes was a sewing machine operator and a member of the Church of Christ.Mrs. Hayes departed this life on Friday, September 23, 2011 at E. C. M. Hospital in Florence, Alabama at the age of 72 Years, 2 Months, 4 Days.She is survived by a son, Michael Dewayne Hayes of Lutts, TN; a daughter, Lisa Gay Hayes of Iron City, TN; grandchildren, Daniel Brison, London Brison, Shelby Hayes; sisters, Louise Bevis of Lutts, TN, Barbara Hunt of Lutts, TN; nieces and nephews.In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Hayes was preceded in death by a brother, Ray Bevis. Services will be held on Sunday, September 25, 2011 at 3:30 PM at Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel, Collinwood, Tennessee, with Luke Woodman and Sonny Bogus officiating. Burial will follow in the Balentine Cemetery at Lutts, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing. Pallbearers will be Robert Lee, Glenn Gray, Elmo Littrell, Leo Littrell, Chase Walters, and Ronnie Erwin.
