WANDA PATTERSON
Henderson, TN: Wanda Lynn Lucas Patterson age 80, passed away August 31, 2022 at the Henderson Health & Rehabilitation Center.
She was born December 16, 1941 in Blytheville, AR, the daughter of the late Robert “R.B.” and Leona
Kinchen Lucas. She grew up in the Sweetlips Community of Chester County and attended Chester County Schools. After high school she began working at Salant & Salant Mfg. for several years. She married Jesse Fay Patterson on June 28, 1963. He preceded her in death on February 13, 2010.
She later worked at Owens Corning Fiberglass in Jackson for about ten years, until they closed in 1987, and then began working for NEO Products in Henderson, retiring in 2003.
She was a member of the Oak Grove Presbyterian Church.
She enjoyed country and gospel music, especially Elvis and watching her television soap operas.
She loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Mrs. Patterson is survived by a son, Darrell Anthony Patterson and wife Tonya of Henderson and a daughter, Sandra ‘Sandy’ Lynn Horne and husband Ronald of Henderson; three grandchildren, Tiffany Knipper, Cassie Cannon and Amanda Taylor; eleven great grandchildren, Karsyn Knipper, Kole Knipper, Elizabeth McKenzie, Olivia McKenzie, Jace Taylor, Adeline Cannon, Bailey Cannon, Broley Cannon, Codi Cannon, Brent Cannon and Alexa Cannon; four brothers, Gerald Lucas (Ann) of Henderson, Paul Lucas (Marianne) of Henderson, Johnny Lucas of Texas and Steve Lucas (Margie) of Franklin Park, IL; a sister, Brenda Johnson (James) of Henderson and a sister-in-law, Dianne Lucas of Bristol, VA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a sister, Linda Johnson and three brothers, Robert Sonny Lucas, Donald ‘Butch’ Lucas and James Lucas.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, September 3rd at Shackelford Funeral Directors – East Main Chapel with Rev. Adrian Knipper officiating. Burial will follow in Chester County Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends at East Main Chapel 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday.
