Wayne Barfield, Sr. was born on November 10, 1963 in Dothan, Alabama, the son of the late Ernest and Nirene Barfield. On August 9, 1997, he was united in marriage to Dianne Johnson, who survives.
Wayne worked for Olive Hill Hardwood, Inc. as a truck driver for 13 years and for G.T. Bray as a roofer in Bradenton, Florida for 6 years. Wayne loved to watch racing and was a Dale Earnhart Sr. fan. He also enjoyed watching football, especially his favorite team, the Alabama Crimson Tide.
Wayne Barfield Sr. departed this life on December 25, 2019 in Savannah, Tennessee, at the age of 56 years, 1 month, and 15 days.
He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Dianne Barfield of Savannah, Tennessee; son, Billy Wayne Barfield, Jr. of Illinois; stepson, Andrew J. Weirich of Savannah, Tennessee; sister, Judy Barfield-Alderman of Bradenton, Florida; brother, Joe Barfield of Louisiana; and step grandchildren, Aiden Jay Weirich and Olivia Dee Weirich.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Brown; and his brother, Don Barfield.
