Wayne Reeves departed this life on Tuesday, May 23, 2017, at the age of 84 years, 10 months, and 20 days. He was born in Arkansas on July 3, 1932, the son of the late James Nathaniel and Ruby Lavinia Acra Reeves. On May 23, 1955, he was united in marriage to Betty Davidson, who survives.
Wayne served honorably in the United States Navy. He had previously lived in Melville, Louisiana where he had worked for the Louisiana State Department. In 1990 he moved to Hardin County, Tennessee and was a member of the Mt. View Church of Christ. He loved fishing, hunting, and mechanic work, especially working on older cars.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Betty Reeves of Clifton, Tennessee; a daughter, Debra Baham of Birmingham, Alabama; a son, Mikel Reeves of Clifton, Tennessee; twelve grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren; and a brother, Alton Reeves of Shreveport, Louisiana.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons, John Reeves and Arthur Ray Reeves; a great grandchild; five sisters; and a brother.
