Wayne (Scatter) Wallace was born October 6, 1926 in Lexington, TN the son of the late William Thomas and Lucy Spain Wallace.
He was united in marriage to Rebecca Maness on September 29, 1949.
Mr. Wallace retired from PCA in Counce after 28 years of service and had also worked for the State of Tennessee surveying roads. After his retirement, he went to work for Pickwick Guide Service as a fishing guide for over 20 years. He was an avid bass and sauger fisherman participating in fishing tournaments in Tennessee, Kentucky, Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana. He was founding member of Pickwick Bass Masters and the Make A Wish Foundation Bass Tournament. He was the community fish cooker whether it was for a fundraiser, a political event but only if it was for a Democrat or just a gathering of friends at his house for a fish fry. He loved to cook, experiment with recipes and fellowship with family and friends.
Outside of his fishing passion, he also enjoyed other sports. He was a baseball pitcher in his younger years, enjoyed bowling, watching basketball, a Tennessee Volunteers football fan, and playing golf. He was a charter member of the Adamsville Country Club. He served his country honorably in the United States Army and the Army National Guard.
He was well liked by all who knew him and will be greatly missed in his community.
