Mr. Wayne Vandiver, age 69 of Bolivar, passed away Saturday, March 24 at Bolivar General Hospital.
The husband of Jan Vandiver, who survives, he was the owner/operator of Vandiver Sawmill for 32 years prior to retiring. He was born October 30, 1942, in Bolivar to Aubrey Martin Vandiver and Gracie Emogene Sanders Vandiver, both of whom preceded him in death, and lived all of his life in Hardeman County. He served in the US Army in 1966 in Vietnam. Mr. Vandiver was a member of Walnut Grove Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife, whom he married on January 18, 1969, survivors include two sons and a daughter in law, Chris Vandiver of Parsons and Mark (Tonya) Vandiver of Finger; four sisters, Annie Grace Jamerson, Faye Overton and Juanita Baker, all of Bolivar and Betty Zaller of Omaha, NE; two brothers, William D. "Bill" Vandiver of Brownfield, MS and Larry Vandiver of Franklin, TN; two grandchildren, Kristin and Katlyn Vandiver; three stepgrandchildren, Dylan Collins, Myranda Collins and Madelyn Collins; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Aubrey Vandiver, Jr. and a sister, Glenda Otta.
