WILBERN O’NEAL AUSTIN
Was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on August 10, 1938 the son of the late Clarence and Rachel Ellen Qualls Austin.
On March 19, 1966 he was united in marriage to the former Peggie Ann Harbin, who survives.
Mr. Austin was a retired sawmill worker. He was a member of Walnut Grove Church of Christ. He was a devoted son, husband, brother, friend, Daddy and granddad.
Mr. Austin departed this life on February 11, 2007 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 68 years, 6 months and 1 day.
Other than his wife, Peggie of Savannah, Tennessee, he is survived by 2 daughters, Linda Ledell McGan of Savannah, Tennessee and Rachel Ann Haggard of Savannah, Tennessee.
One son, Rodney O’neal Austin of Savannah, Tennessee.
5 grandchildren, Shantina Frazier, Kayla Short, Dalana Short, Chelcey Haggard and Ty Austin.
4 sisters, Elizabeth Lambert of Savannah, Tennessee, Sue Martin of Milledgeville, Tennessee, Eve Cotner of Counce, Tennessee and Deborah Morey of Gaylord, Michigan.
3 brothers, Junior Austin and Ray Austin, both of Savannah, Tennessee and William Austin of Shiloh, Tennessee.
Mr. Austin was also preceded in death by 2 sisters, Wilma Louise Lambert, Bernice Pearl Bretherick and 3 brothers, Hubbert Leon Austin, Curtis Arthell Austin and Robert Lynn Austin.
