Mr. Wilford Leon Hill, Sr., age 80 of Bolivar, passed from this life Saturday, June 13, 2009 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.He was born March 19, 1929 in Bethel Springs to the late Otis Henry and Ophia Hatch Hill. He married Mary Louise Vaughan, who survives, September 7, 1948, and worked as a store merchant until retirement. He lived in Blytheville, Arkansas as a young boy, but lived most of his life in Hardeman County. He was a former member of the Chamber of Commerce and loved hunting, fishing, guns, collecting knives and working as a flea marketer. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bolivar. In addition to his wife, he leaves as his survivors, two daughters, Sheila Lee Wilhite of Mt. Pleasant and Cindy Smith of Hickory Valley; two sons, Leon Hill and John A. Hill, both of Bolivar; eight sisters, Roselene Knipper of Henderson, Bernise Dillingham of Memphis, Alice Mosier of Henderson, Jo Mattingly of Memphis, Frances Crocker of Fraziersburg, IL, Faye Williams of Memphis, Judy McGage of Somerville and Elsie Louise "Tootsie" Rutherford of Memphis; two brothers, Lloyd B. Hill and James Hill, both of Heber Springs, AR; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ogene Hill.
