It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Will Sherrill, a lifelong resident of Wayne County, Tennessee.
Will Sherrill was born on October 22, 1932, in Wayne County, Tennessee, the son of the late Clay and Effie Foster Sherrill.
Will and his beloved Betty Jean shared a beautiful life together after marrying on September 2, 1951. A faithful member of Upper Green River Church, Will's life was rooted in his community and his faith. He was a dedicated employee of Murray Ohio Manufacturing Company, where he worked on the production line. Alongside his work at the factory, Will was a hardworking farmer who found great joy in tending to his land and caring for his farm animals.
Will Sherrill departed this life on Saturday, May 10, 2025, in Wayne County, Tennessee.
Will is lovingly remembered by his wife, Betty Sherrill; children, Rita Gail Sherrill of Waynesboro, Tennessee, Doug Sherrill and his wife Missy of Waynesboro, Tennessee, and Sherry Rees and her husband Steve of Hohenwald, Tennessee; 9 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Will is preceded in death by his son, Johnny B. Sherrill, and his brothers, Edward Sherrill, Lonzo Sherrill, Elzo Sherrill, Dee Sherrill, Clay Sherrill Jr., Receal Sherrill, Paul Sherrill, and W.C. Sherrill, and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Doug Sherrill, Scott Devers, Ernie Sherrill, Ricky Sherrill, Deweight Sherrill, and Nick Sherrill.
