Willa Dean Harris
Henderson: Willa Dean Burkhead Harris, age 73, died Saturday evening, December 10, 2011 at Jackson General Hospital.
Mrs. Harris was born and reared in Chester County, the daughter of the late Charles Brooks and Jessie Mae Cupples Burkhead. She attended Chester County Schools. She worked for Salant and Salant for 28 years and later worked for Hill Food Service at Freed-Hardeman for six years. She married Edward Harris who preceded her in death. She was a member of Faith Fellowship Church.
She is survived by a son Ricky Clement (Charlotte), a brother Elton Burkhead, and a sister Junell Morris (Jerry) all of Henderson. She has three grandchildren; Tasha, Amy, and Shana and 3 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister Joyce Pusser.
Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday at Owens Cemetery at Chickasaw State Park with Ken Frye and Elton Burkhead officiating.
