WILLARD DEMING
Henderson, TN: Willard Odell Deming was born May 30, 1917 in Chester County, TN the son of the late Jackson Monroe and Leota Richardson Deming. He attended school in the Deanburg Community of Chester County. He farmed all of his life and worked for the CCC and WPA helping to build Highway 100 and several state parks. He later worked for Chickasaw State Park until his retirement in 1982. He was married to Mary Lou Woods in 1944 and later was married to Kathlyn Benson in 1990. She died in 1999. Mr. Deming was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church.
Mr. Deming departed this life on September 17, 2009 in Jackson, TN at the age of 92 Years, 3 Months, 18 Days.
He is survived by two daughters; Carolyn Goff (Orban) of Henderson, TN, Sylvia Heard (Larry) of Harrodsburg, KY; two sons; Wood Deming (Pam) of Jackson, TN, Ron (Sandi) Deming of Dover, TN; eight grandchildren; Gina Henson, Joy Stilen, John Deming, Madison Deming, Bryan Melton, Molly Veazey, Julie Couch, Michelle Broadway; and great-grandchildren, Hunter Ross, Mitchell Henson, Katilyn Henson, Lilly Deming, Lucas Deming, Jack Veazey.
In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Deming was preceded in death by two brothers, Dallas Deming, Woodrow Deming; three sisters, Birdie Melton, Versie Harris, Verna Hayaday.
