William Bennie Butler

William Bennie Butler of Collinwood, TN was born May 17, 1940 in Iron City, TN the son of the late Jimmie and Gladys Robertson Butler. William retired from Murray Ohio Manufacturing Company in Lawrenceburg, TN. He also attended the Wayne County Bible Center in Waynesboro, TN. William departed this life on March 26, 2023 in Waynesboro, TN at the age of 82 years, 10 months, and 9 days.

He is survived by sons, Patrick Shawn Butler (Brenda Gale), and William David Butler (Brenda Faye), all of Waynesboro, TN; sisters, Christine Odom (Aaron) of Rogersville, AL, and Eveline Berry (Bill "Elzo") of Selmer, TN; grandchildren, Brandon Butler (Deanna), Brooke Foster (Joey), Hannah-Kate McKnight (Trevor), Ashley Nicole Butler, Abigail Lauren Sellers (Parker); and numerous great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by a son, Christopher Lynn Butler and a sister, Mabeline Holt.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 30, 2023 from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm service time at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Collinwood, TN.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 30, 2023 at 1:00 pm at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Collinwood, TN, with Leo Doyle officiating. Burial will follow in the McGlamery Cemetery at Collinwood with Shackelford Funeral Directors assisting the family.

Pallbearers include Trevor McKnight, Parker Sellers, Raymond Vickery, Brandon Butler, Will Butler, and Joey Foster.
