William Dallas Bromley

William Dallas (W. D.) Bromley of Iron City, TN was born July 12, 1922 in Iron City, Tennessee, the son of the late Dallas and Lallie Phillips Bromley. He was united in marriage to Ruby Coral Holt on December 20, 1949. Mr. Bromley was a retired employee of Reynolds Aluminum and was a United States Army veteran serving from 1942 to 1945. Mr. Bromley departed this life on Friday, August 26, 2011 at his home at the age of 89 Years, 1 Month, 14 Days.He is survived by his wife, Ruby Coral Holt Bromley of Iron City, TN; two sons, Greg Bromley of Iron City, TN, Stan Bromley and wife, Sharon of Waynesboro, TN; a daughter, Shelia Young of Seymour, TN; four grandchildren, Shawn Bromley and wife, Anna, Kelly White and husband, David, Matt Young, and Sharae Reaves and husband, Bronson; two great-grandchildren, Wesson Bromley, Shelby White. Services will be held on Sunday, August 28, 2011 at 3:30 PM at Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel in Collinwood, Tennessee, with Emerald Bailey and Steve Barkley officiating. Burial with military rites will follow in the Railroad Cemetery, Iron City, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County directing. Pallbearers will be Jerry Wayne Franks, Bronson Reaves, Shawn Bromley, Matt Young, Donnie Bretherick, and Curtis Daniel.
