William Edward (Bill) Brown

William Edward (Bill) Brown of Iron City, TN was born December 21, 1946 in Lutts, TN, the son of the late Fred and Minnie C. Robbins Brown. He was united in marriage to the former Virginia Gale Brewer on July 18, 1970.

Mr. Brown was retired from Murray Ohio Manufacturing in Lawrenceburg, TN. He was a member of the Green River Baptist Church in Waynesboro, Tennessee, a member of the American Legion and was a former District 6 Wayne County Commissioner. He served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War.

Mr. Brown departed this life on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at Select Speciality Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee at the age of 74 Years, 3 Months, 2 Days.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia Gale (Brewer) Brown, Iron City, TN; son, William Edward
Brown, II, wife, Christina, Terry, MS; daughter, Bradlee Susan Butler, husband, Biff, Estill Springs, TN; grandchildren, Madison Leanne Evans, husband, Drew, Kaylee Michelle Brown, William Edward Brown, III, Rachel MacKenzie Kuhn, husband, Luke, Grace Anne Butler, McKenzie Caitlin Brown and David Logan Kyle; brothers, Glenn Brown, wife, Pat, Collinwood, TN, Dannie Brown, wife, Debbie, Cypress Inn, TN and Freddie Brown, Wartrace, TN; a sister, Elizabeth Faye (Brown) Balentine, Lutts, TN and nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on Friday, March 26, 2021 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors , Collinwood, Tennessee, with Kerry Franks and Houston Buchanan officiating. Burial with military rites will follow in Memorial Gardens, Collinwood, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors assisting the family. Pallbearers will be Russell and John Holt, Randall Ayers, Ken, Ben and Will Brown, Wade Butler, Dustin Smith and Chad Balentine.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 25, 2021 from 6 pm to 9 pm and Friday, March 26, 2021 from 1 pm to service time at the funeral home.
