Born June 28, 1952 in Ripley, MS, he was the son of William Joseph and Dorothy Oletha Whaley Cornelius. He served in the US Army from 1972-1974, and was self-employed with Cornelius Lumber Company. He lived in Middleton all his life.
In addition to his parents, survivors include a daughter Angela Denise Cornelius Ross and husband Lynn of Cedar Hill, TN; a son William Kenneth "Bill" Cornelius, Jr. and wife Amanda of Middleton; a brother Joseph Ronald "Ronny" Cornelius and wife Annette "Sarge" of Middleton; 3 grandchildren, Taylor Doyle Ross, William Caleb and Brody Jackson Cornelius; He was preceded in death by his sister Regina Cornelius in 2006.
