William Harmon Craft

March 6, 1923 — July 11, 2012

Mr. Craft departed this life Wednesday morning, July 11, 2012 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.



He was the widow of Mrs. Laverne Craft who passed away May 18, 2012. He was a native of Rogers Springs, the son of the late William Henry Craft and Lukie Burgess Craft. He graduated from Middleton High School in the Class of 1941 and married Lavern Emerson on July 7, 1953. Mr. Craft was a farmer most of his life, however, he worked at Tennesse Gas from 1953-1964. He also worked as a part-time mail carrier for the Postal Service. He served his country in World War II in the US Army as a member of the Medical Corps.



He leaves his son, Mark Craft of Middleton; and a sister, Cloda Murphy of Bartlett.



In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by five sisters, Pauline Craft, Julia Gibson, Jean Free, Monteen Craft and Eloise Craft; and two brothers, James Allen Craft and John T. Craft.
