William E. "Bill" McKee, 77, of Middleton, departed this life Thursday, April 16, 2020 at Bolivar General Hospital.
The husband of Lizzie Nerdra Shinault McKee, who survives, he retired from Bruce Hardwood Flooring, where he had worked for 9 years and had also worked for Harmon Automotive for 34 years. He was born April 2, 1943, in Hardeman County, son of the late Lawrence Elbert McKee and Nannie Earl Bryant McKee and enjoyed being outside, when he was able, and being with his family, especially the kids. He loved farming and his church and was a lifelong resident of the county. Mr. McKee was a member of Hebron Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife, whom he married on September 1, 1967, survivors include a son, Tyrone Eural McKee of Bolivar; two daughters, Michelle McKee Hopper of Bolivar and Angela McKee Lambert of Middleton; a brother, Thomas McKee of Jackson; 8 grandchildren, Zackary, Tyler, Christian and Keaton McKee, Lilly and Rose Hopper, Kelsey and Dillon Lambert; and a great grandchild, Kenneth Woods. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Burton and James McKee, a sister, Daisey McKee Cox and a granddaughter, Kaitlyn Lambert. Memorial donations in his name may be sent to LeBonheur Children's Medical Center.
