William Floyd Fox
was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on June 30, 1944 the son of the late William Wilson and Beulah Eddie Shands Fox.
William was employed for many years at Clayton Homes in Savannah, where he worked as a carpenter. He lived in the Walnut Grove community and was a member of the Walnut Grove Freewill Baptist Church. In his spare time, William loved to play his guitar and sing gospel music. He also loved horses, his friends and his family.
William departed this life on Friday, February 6, 2026 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 81 years, 7 months, and 7 days.
He is survived by his daughter, Deana Milford and her husband Dennis of Stantonville, Tennessee; son, Prentiss Fox of Texas; brother, Raymond Fox and his wife Anita of Elkhart, Indiana; sisters, Marylynn Brown and Ruby Brown, both of Savannah, Tennessee; grandchildren, Anna Moore, Courtney Young and her husband Wesley, Hayley Anthony, Mallory Gilbert and her husband Cory, Colton Milford, Dylan Fox, Cameron Fox and her husband Wade, and Brianna Avelar and her husband Marco; great grandchildren, Kaylynn Moore, Randall Moore, Ollie Moore, Marshall Anthony, Jace Forrester, Kaydence Forrester, Cian Young, Arlo Gilbert, Paisley Taylor, Jayden Avelar, Jayclee Avelar, Jordyn Avelar, and Marley Fox.
In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by one son, William Floyd Fox, Jr.; brothers, JW Fox, Milford Fox, and Bobby Fox; and sisters, Mabel Willingham and Shirley Fox.
