William Garner

Finger, TN: William Branson “Jim†Garner, age 91 passed away October 25, 2012 at the Henderson Health and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born and reared in the Beauty Hill Community in McNairy County the son of the late John and Anna Wilson Garner. He married Vonnie Mae Talbott of Finger on April 1, 1946. They made their home in Finger. Mr. Garner worked for Pickwick Electric as a mechanic over 37 years retiring in 1984. Mrs. Garner passed away Feb. 15, 2011. He loved quail hunting and loved to train his dog to hunt. He was a member of the Finger Methodist Church.
Mr. Garner is survived by two sons, Larry Garner and wife Shannon of Finger and Gary Garner and wife Kay of Adamsville; 6 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Vonnie Mae Talbott Garner in 2011, a son, Terry Garner in 2007; 4 brothers, Marvin, Onie, Henry and Dick Garner and 3 sisters, Ester Lee Garner, Mary Lipford and Ruby Houston.
